The Polish Graduates Of The Us Naval War College

From 10 years Polish Navy officers have been sent for strategic studies at the US NAVAL WAR COLLEGE in Newport, Rhode Island. At the present 15 graduates of the school serve in the Polish Navy. Today, 15 march, they will meet with the President of the Naval War College – Vice Admiral Arthur K. CEBROWSKI. 
 

Vice Admiral Cebrowski's working visit to the Polish Navy is dedicated to exchange of views on the naval warfare concept in the future and the specification of naval operations in narrow seas and littoral regions. The President of the Naval War College will conduct a lecture on the Network-centric warfare, which is a presentation of a new concept of the naval warfare and will participate in a discussion with Polish Navy officers on the Warfare in narrow seas and the contested littoral. At 12.00 at the Polish Navy Headquarters he'll meet with the Polish Navy officers – Naval War College graduates.

On Friday, 16 March, Vice Admiral Cebrowski will meet the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Navy Admiral Ryszard Łukasik and will visit the local industry centers with production for naval services.

NAVAL WAR COLLEGE in Newport, Rhode Island is a graduate school with commands courses for naval officers. The school was founded in 1884 and its main task was an advanced studies for naval officers. It is the oldest institution of this type in the world. Since 1956 courses for international naval officers are conducted at the college. The first Polish Navy officer to study at the Naval War College in 1991 was CDR Jan TOMKO. In 1998 Vice Admiral Cebrowski became the 47th President of the US Naval War College.
